Perhaps fate best describes the partnership of Toni Brown and Tina Wynn.

Toni’s road to success as a Special Events Producer began when she became the Marketing Assistant for the United Negro College Fund’s Lou Rawls Parade of Stars television fundraiser. When later promoted to Project Manager, Toni created The Flavor of New York. Her vision to partner popular restaurants with noted individuals from the worlds of sports, entertainment, politics, and business to serve tasty dishes to thousands of patrons became one of UNCF’s most successful signature fundraising events.

Tina honed her publicity and writing skills while a Press Assistant for the CBS Network News Press Office. Her promotion to the position of Press Coordinator led her to work directly on the various network news broadcasts including: CBS News Sunday Morning, Face the Nation, the presidential election coverages, and other special news events. After several years, Tina left corporate America to become Director of Publicity for Def Jam Recordings and began publicizing artists that included LL Cool J and Public Enemy.

With the diversity of working in both the corporate and entertainment industries, Tina chose to venture into her own business and established T&T Public Relations. She also returned to her roots in television, publicizing dozens of broadcasts from critically acclaimed documentaries to an award-winning network and cable dramas, comedies and variety shows.

Toni also sought a change and departed UNCF in 1995 to sign on as an Account Executive at Stedman Graham & Partners (SGP), an advertising agency that specialized in creating, producing and publicizing events for clients. It was here that she met Tina who served as an independent publicist for SGP.

Toni and Tina traveled the country together producing and publicizing events for clients: Greyhound, Johnson & Johnson, State Farm, Moet Hennessy USA (formerly Schiefellin & Somerset) and more. It was during these travels — producing a Hennessy event in Atlanta specifically — when they learned that SGP would be dissolved, effective immediately. Fortunately, the Hennessy brand team asked both ladies to stay on and complete the contract started with SGP. This led Toni to quickly established Toni Brown & Associates, an event and marketing agency and partner with Tina and her T&T Public Relations to see the projects to fruition. It was an opportunity that resulted in a long-term contract.

Twenty-two years later, Toni and Tina continue to work together as The Brown Wynn Agency, creating, producing, marketing, and publicizing events and conferences throughout the U.S. and beyond. Of the many clients and projects they have undertaken over the years, they are proud to have retained their very first client, Moet Hennessy USA.

Most importantly, the partnership between Toni Brown and Tina Wynn could not have existed without the development of a true sisterhood and friendship.
